#23 | Results from 20th February

Here are the results from yesterday’s Mobilise Moments poll.

Me, me, me

Yesterday we asked: Do you feel guilty about taking ‘me time’ or time for yourself?

Graph showing the results to the question Since the pandemic started have your digital skills improved? 50% said yes and only 2% said no

80% of us say we feel some guilt around taking time for ourselves, so we're not alone! It's a very high number, which highlights some of the stress and anxiety we can feel about our roles. Nearly one third said that they don't take any time for themselves as a result of the guilt they feel about it.

Respite, and time for ourselves is an important part of making our caregiving sustainable. Our very own Claire, has written a blog about how to care for yourself, when there is no time to care for yourself. The article talks about guilt, the importance of respite and replenishment, and covers some quick ways you can take a moment to recharge.

If you're struggling with taking time for yourself, you may find a chat with one of our Carer Support Team, can help clear the way. They're completely free and confidential and you'll always be speaking to another carer.
