Yesterday we asked: Have you gained weight since March 2020?
It may come as no surprise that a significant proportion of us have gained some weight since the first lockdown, in March 2020. Lots of us say that activity has reduced or simply stopped completely. We also hear from the community that many of us are missing trips to the gym which we found invaluable both for physical and mental health. Gyms are now due to re-open on the 12th April (BBC). So we still have at least six weeks to wait.
A healthy proportion (perhaps literally), report that they have more or less maintained their weight. Perhaps they could share their secrets, tips and tricks in our Facebook Group? We'll start a thread later.
And for those of us at home, wondering what we can do, why not take a look at the PE sessions run by Joe Wicks on Youtube? They're super for adults and children alike. As we write this, there are 30,000 people tuning in to his daily PE session, where he is conducting a quiz and doing exercises at the same time!
