#35 | Results from 4th March
Here are the results from yesterday’s Mobilise Moments poll.
In your opinion, how is the rollout of the Coronavirus vaccine for carers being handled?
It's a hot topic amongst carers right now. And in our community we've seen a real breadth of experience. Ranging from the invitation to be vaccinated being both timely and the process simple. To the opposite end of the scale, with some of us being told we don't qualify as a carer, or 'we're not vaccinating carers yet', or being sent to a vaccination centre miles away - which can be logistically difficult as a carer.
Our results from yesterday seem to broadly reflect this spread of experience too. With 57.4% of us feeling the process is either 'All under control' or 'somewhat well organised'. And 42% of us feeling that it's 'not very well organised' or 'a mess'. No doubt reflecting our very own unique and personal experiences of the process.
It can be frustrating if we feel we are falling through the gaps, and to some degree can reinforce a belief that lots of us hold, related to carer visibility. But, the good news is that the programme is rolling forwards and at quite a pace. We may need to find a little more patience, but we're getting there.
We're aware that different regions are handling the vaccination rollout differently. We're updating our Carers Guide to the Covid-19 vaccine almost daily, including regional information, where we have it. Please take a look - there is the opportunity to let us know what is happening in your area too.
We're also aware that for some of us, the vaccine can be emotive. If you have any anxiety connected with the either vaccination itself or the process, please do book a free call with our carer support team.
And finally, for any Dolly fans out there, here's bit of vaccine light relief!
