Here are the results from yesterday’s Mobilise Moments poll.

Public holiday support

Yesterday we asked: Today is the start of the Easter break, does the support you receive change during public holidays?

Support varies over the bank holiday, which perhaps isn't surprising. This no doubt, depends on what our individual support is made up of. Family support, for example, may be less likely to change. However day centres, schools and paid support are more likely to be taking a break themselves.

Meaning that while most people look forward to a Bank holiday as an extended break, for some of us, it can be more work.

15.9% of us responded "I'm unable to answer this", and drilling down, we can see that most responses here, are from people who do not receive any support, and so experience no change over a Bank holiday.

For those of us receiving no support, but in need of some extra help, it may be worth asking for a Carers' Assessment. Your local carers' centre may also be able to help. Our blog, 10 ways your local carers centre can help, is a great starting point.

However you're spending the Easter weekend, we hope you find a little time for yourself.
