Here are the results from yesterday’s Mobilise Moments poll.

Personal Care

Yesterday we asked: Do you assist the person you care for with going to the loo?

Over 56% of us are supporting our cared-for to go to the toilet all of the time, some of the time and occasionally. While we don't all feel comfortable talking about it, and we must respect our cared-fors' dignity, it's important to acknowledge that this can feel like a big deal. Both practically and emotionally.

Within our community, we've found that many carers and cared-for find a good dose of humour can make the whole business much easier! And our Mobilise Guide to Bladder and Bowel incontinence shares this tip and other practical advice from our community.

And for when we attempt to get out and about, there are a few schemes that can make things a little easier, including:

"Just can't wait" card

Accessible "Changes Places" toilets

Radar Key (to access disability toilets)
