Here are the results from yesterday’s Mobilise Moments poll.

Food glorious food

Yesterday we asked: Does being a carer influence what you eat and drink on a daily basis?

Two thirds of us get to mostly or always eat the meals we would like, which is great to hear. While the remaining third of us only occasionally or never get to eat the meals we would like.

There could be many reasons for this, one being that after we have catered for our cared-for's dietary needs or preferences, that perhaps we don't have the energy to cook again for ourselves.

It might even be that until we answered this question, we hadn't even particularly noticed that our own preferences had been put aside. But this is the kind of 'small' detail that can niggle over time.

And from a mental health perspective it is good to be meeting our own needs. When we continually meet someone else's needs, and not our own, we are likely to end up in an unbeneficial state such as martyrdom or resentment.

So, what quick meal could you make for yourself as a little treat? What could you pop in your shopping basket to put a smile on your face?

Here's a list of 20 healthy meals that take less than 20 minutes to make (apparently!), to give us some inspiration.
