How can coaching help me?

In just one coaching session carers report moving from confused, overwhelmed or exhausted to feeling clear headed, in control or energised.

Depending on what you choose to focus on, across a programme of 4 conversations you can also expect to:

  • Create an action plan and make progress towards goals that are important to you

  • Improve health and quality of life

  • Unlock confidence, hope and potential

  • Find your own solutions to life’s challenges and begin to move forwards

  • Rediscover “You” gaining insights about yourself and build up a toolkit of strategies that work for you

What happens in coaching?

  • We can talk over video call or telephone, normally once a week for 4 weeks.  Book your first session.

  • Coaching is a safe space to focus completely on yourself and map out your journey.  Together we focus on the whole of you. We will co-design how we work together.

  • Our first session is an opportunity for you to find out more about coaching and to think about what would be an important thing to focus on and what you want to achieve through coaching.

  • You set the direction and goal for our conversations.

What specific issues can coaching help me with?

Are you stressed out and overwhelmed?  Working with a coach is a way of stepping back and finding breathing space to take control of the things that can be changed whilst letting go of the things that are not in your control.

Has your self-confidence taken a knock?  Coaching can help you to build a firm foundation of confidence, opening up new possibilities.

Feeling stuck and lost motivation?  Our coaching programme can restart your momentum, you can create an action plan, design goals or set a new direction in life.

My ultimate intention is that you become the person you were made to be"

Suzanne began her professional coaching training in 2016 and has gone on to become an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) with the International Coach Federation.  As well as developing her own coaching practise for unpaid carers she has worked for Parkinson’s UK and the MS Society to develop and deliver self-management and wellbeing programmes.

As carer for her husband with Parkinson’s Disease she also has her own personal experience of caring.

Talking to Suzanne was the first time that I ever felt like someone got it, she just completely accepted the place I was at emotionally. My guards were down, I shared a lot and I never felt like I needed fixing. This was so important because I was having a lot of realisations about myself and my caring role so my emotions were raw. Unpacking those in these coaching sessions felt safe"
